This May we will be watching "Cuba, An African Odyssey," a 2006 documentary on Cuba's role in supporting the African struggle for liberation in the 20th Century. From Che Guevara’s military campaign to avenge Lumumba in the Congo up to the fall of apartheid in South Africa, 300,000 Cubans fought alongside African revolutionaries. "Cuba, an African Odyssey" is the previously untold story of Cuba’s support for African revolutions.

A special guest will provide us with a presentation on the film prior to the screening, and discussion will follow.
